Self-esteem is a sense of your self-worth. It’s the attitude that you have towards yourself. Research shows that developing mindfulness skills may help us build secure self-esteem—that is, self-esteem that endures regardless of our success in comparison to those around us. Mindfulness is a way of being aware of the present (moment to moment), with an attitude of openness, curiosity and non-judgment.
Our monthly Mindful Well-Being sessions are 75-minutes in duration and open to anyone over 15. The sessions are suitable for anyone who is committed to developing a secular personal Mindfulness meditation practice, including those who may have experienced stress, anxiety, depression, grief, or other challenges in their lives.
Join husband and wife team, Peter and Connie, from Hum for a relaxing sound bath at Sound Therapy Immersion. You will drift away from the physical world into a peaceful relaxation, allowing the sounds to reach an inner depth. Be guided into deep relaxation through breath and mindfulness to fully surrender and immerse yourself in the vibrational sounds of crystal singing bowls, Native American flute, drums, rattles, chimes and more. If you allow yourself to deeply surrender and relax, your body can naturally move into its healing phase. Through meditation and mindfulness, we can begin to discern whether the thoughts we are having are helpful or unhelpful. Once you have control of your thoughts you can transform your life.

Many people are talking about trying Yin Yoga but how do you know if it’s right for you? Derived from traditional yoga poses Yin poses have been renamed to distinguish them from traditional practices. From a physical standpoint, yin postures are all about release. Postures and breath-work focus on manipulating the fascia, the deep connective tissues around individual and muscle groups. When practiced regularly it will improve circulation in the joints and other tissues and increase overall flexibility and. Sounds good doesn’t it!
