Why chose a Private Pilates Session?
Pilates focuses on the development of core strength, stability, posture and body awareness. It is low impact, with limited cardio and is suitable for nearly anyone including professional sports people, seniors, pre and post-natal and those undertaking physical rehabilitation as recommended by a doctor. It’s also a great option if you just want to look good in your swimmers! A private session is a great way to introduce yourself to Pilates. Pilates is focused on posture and alignment and often it may only be a small movement between doing an exercise right (and therefore effectively) or incorrectly and risking injury. Many studios offer Private or Semi-Private Sessions to supplement regular Pilates or fitness training, it’s a proven way to improve your Pilates techniques and increase confidence and knowledge during these intimate sessions.

Stay Well Hydrated
Water drives all the chemical reactions that create and nurture life so stay well hydrated. So many of us are so disconnected and so “busy” that we fail to notice symptoms of dehydration. It may interest you that a dry mouth is actually one of the last symptoms of dehydration. We live in a self inflicted dehydrated society that accepts caffeinated drinks, sports drinks, alcohol, and juices as a method of rehydration.
Keeping Active at Work
Do you find it difficult to exercise during work hours, because you’re always too busy? I believe you can make time for anything you feel is truly worthwhile if the benefit out ways the cost. When you’re working, exercise is a great way to get fresh air, clear the head and pump the body full of good hormones, so you function at your peak and communicate better with your customers and colleagues.
What is Dry Needling and how does it work?
Dry Needling also known as ‘musculoskeletal acupuncture’ and ‘Sports Acupuncture’ is a therapy which involves a very thin needle inserted through the skin to stimulate a trigger point or ‘knot’ within a muscle. Despite its scary-sounding name, Dry Needling is safe and is getting very good results in the hands of skilled practitioners.

Yoga today, benefits tomorrow
Yoga is hugely popular around the world today, yet until now little has been known of its origins. Western intellectuals “discovered” yoga at the end of the nineteenth and it has since been deeply influenced by Western spiritual and religious ideas, representing in many respects a radical break from the grass-roots yoga extraction of India.
How quieting the mind with Yoga helps children
I first found yoga and meditation whilst living and travelling through Europe in my 20’s. As soon as I took my first Body Balance (mix of Tai Chi, Yoga and Pilates) I was hooked! I used my time overseas to immerse myself in the practice and attended yoga festivals and retreats across the UK. At first I just enjoyed my own personal practice, but soon began to think that everyone should be practicing yoga to experience the ease and calm it can bring to your daily life. One summer’s day when I was in Glastonbury, the spiritual heart of the UK – I had a lightbulb moment – why is this sense of ease and calm just limited to adults, yoga should be taught from a young age to help children better navigate their way into adulthood.
